Executive Career Lab provides executive career positioning services, including but not limited to executive resume writing, LinkedIn optimization, career market audits, interview preparation, and HR advisory consulting. Specific deliverables and timelines are outlined in individual service agreements or engagement confirmations.
2. Client Responsibilities
To ensure the best possible outcome, clients agree to: provide accurate, complete, and truthful information about their career history, qualifications, and goals; respond to information requests and questionnaires in a timely manner; participate in scheduled intake and strategy calls; review deliverables and provide feedback within the agreed revision timeline; and communicate any changes in career goals or target roles promptly.
Executive Career Lab is not responsible for outcomes resulting from inaccurate or incomplete information provided by the client.
3. Payment Terms
Payment terms are specified in individual service agreements. Unless otherwise agreed in writing: full payment is required before work begins for standard engagements; deposit payments are non-refundable once work has commenced; accepted payment methods include credit/debit card, bank transfer, and other methods as specified at time of engagement.
4. Refund Policy
Due to the custom, research-intensive nature of our services, refunds are not provided once work has commenced. If you have concerns about your deliverables, we will work with you through our revision process to achieve a result you're satisfied with. Refunds may be considered at our sole discretion in cases of significant non-delivery on our part.
5. Intellectual Property
Client Materials: You retain full ownership of the deliverables created specifically for you (resumes, LinkedIn content, etc.) upon completion of full payment.
ECL Methodology: Our frameworks, templates, processes, and proprietary methodologies remain the intellectual property of Executive Career Lab and may not be reproduced, redistributed, or used to create competing services.
Website Content: All website content, including text, design, logos, and graphics, is the property of Executive Career Lab and may not be reproduced without written permission.
6. Confidentiality
Both parties agree to maintain confidentiality regarding the other's proprietary and sensitive information. Executive Career Lab will not disclose client information, career details, or engagement specifics to third parties without explicit client consent. Clients will not disclose ECL's proprietary methodologies, pricing structures, or internal processes.
7. No Employment Guarantee
Executive Career Lab provides career positioning services and professional document preparation. We do not guarantee employment, specific interview rates, salary outcomes, or job offers. Career outcomes depend on many factors outside our control, including market conditions, employer decisions, and client follow-through. Our goal is to maximize the quality of your positioning within these inherent limitations.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Executive Career Lab shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of income, employment opportunities, or business. Our total liability for any claim related to our services shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific engagement in question.
9. Testimonials and Case Studies
Any testimonials or client results shared on our website represent individual experiences and are not guarantees of future results. We will only use client testimonials with explicit written permission.
10. Dispute Resolution
In the event of a dispute, the parties agree to first attempt resolution through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation is unsuccessful, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the applicable rules. These Terms are governed by applicable law.
